He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Frances Hoyt, Sr. (Monroe); his wife Martha (Henry); his daughter Candy Sue Davids; and his siblings, Beryl Pryor, Don Hoyt and Naomi Vanheyzen.

He is survived by: his children, Debra Bostater (Loren), George Hoyt (Marian), Thomas Hoyt (Dawn) and Kimberlee Watson (David); and his brother Dale Hoyt. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren.
