She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Smith; and her siblings, Lessie Smith, Tommie Reynolds, Gladys Brown, Mary Lane, Sallie Terry and Yancy Bradford.
She is survived by: her husband George; her children, Reginald L. Hawkins and Janis Hawkins-Clark; her son-in-law Earl Clark; her daughter Gunna Kommareddi (Rao); her grandchildren, Vineetha Kommareddi and Mahesh Kommareddi; her stepgrandchildren, Shaunda Rogers, La'Toya Clark, Ereka Peek and Tanyetta Bragg; and her siblings-in-law, Malinda and Irvin Hawkins. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; eight step-great-grandchildren, and numerous godchildren.
