He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Bienz and Ida Stockfish Bienz; his son Hilbert; his sister Eleanor Caswell; his stepbrothers, Donald and William Porter; and his stepson Michael Coppes.
He is survived by: his former wife Helga Huber; his son Eric (Janet Bienz); his wife Virginia Coppes of Homer; his children, Edna (Dave Knorr) and Elmer Bienz of Chicago, Illinois; his brother Robert (Marilyn Bienz); his sister-in-law Maria Maciborski of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Lisa Bien, Scott Bienz and Heidi Boerma; his stepgrandchildren, Kenny, Kyle and Kristie Coppes; and his cousin James Behling. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
