David E. Williams Obituary
Kalamazoo Formerly of Albion Age 84, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024. David was born in Chelsea, Michigan on September 21, 1939, the son of the late Owen D. and Helen M. (Cutter) Williams. He graduated from Hesperia High School and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. David worked as a service technician at Sears for 35 years. He was a member of the Albion American Legion Post 55 and the VFW DADS. David was also a member of Kalamazoo Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and also loved to bowl and play cribbage and euchre. On June 16, 1963, he married the former Nancy E. Lightfoot, who survives. David is also survived by two daughters, Donna Williams and Elizabeth "Beth" (Scott) George and one grandson, Alex George. David was preceded in death by his brother and sister in-law, Robert and Patricia Williams. Cremation will take place. Interment of David's cremains will be held at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Albion American Legion Post 55 or Kairos Dwelling.
