He was predeceased by: his parents, William Short and Alice Short (Custer); his wives, Eleanor June Short (Conley) and Marjorie Ann Short; and his daughter Tracy Lynn Pickrel (Short).
He is survived by: his daughters, Patsy Bush (Bob), Pamela Barkema (Carl), Nancy Dack, Cindy Wandel (James), Melissa Cripe and Sheila Dermyer (Dean). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
