He was predeceased by: his parents, William Napier and Nora Childers Napier (Carter); his spouse Beverly Wing Pace; his former wife Sharon Prewitt; his son Joel Childers; his stepsons, Rick Barone and Dominic Barone; his sisters, Inez Whitehead (Sila L.) and Mardella Huff (Terry); his siblings-in-law, Vivian Graylee (Robert) and Douglas Wing; and his grandson Cody Stevens.

He is survived by: his daughter Lesia May Paul (David); his daughter-in-law Brandi Childers; his stepchildren, Rose Collins, Phyllis Shay (Mike) and Joseph Barone (Gwyn); his grandchildren, Christopher Stevens (Kristin), Kaylee Hughs and Dakota Childers; his great grandchildren, Nova and Katlyn Stevens; and his siblings, Bill Childers (Joanna), Denver Napier (Sheryl) and Bonnie Clarkson (Estil). He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
