He was predeceased by: his parents, Kyser Lewis and Lola Mae Lewis (Bell); his wives, Ella Mae Lewis and Luella Kemp Lewis; his son Earl D. Lewis; and his grandson Anthony Lewis.

He is survived by: his children, Charles Lewis (Regina), Len Theliac Lewis (Mary), Anthony Lewis, Brenda Atchison (Lee), Angela Lewis and Jala Lewis; and his sister Vera Simpson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
