Bessie Havard Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Havard (Albion, Michigan), born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, who passed away on November 23, 2021, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Harrison Havard Sr., Joseph Havard, Eddie Havard, Gloria HavardRainey and Peter Havard; and her children, Telastus Lewis, George Lewis and Lee Vond Sweezer.

She is survived by: her children, Marjorie Lewis Wilson, Barbara Lewis Jefferson, Gloria Jean Sweezer, Ernest Sweezer (Helen) and Jewel Perez Gaines (Preston); her daughter-in-law Alice Lewis; and her nephew Willie Peaches (Katherine). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
