He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his stepfather Henry Weemhoff; and his brothers-in-law, John VanderWoude, Lewis Schepers and Bernard Ettema.
He is survived by: his parents, Casper DeYoung and Grace Piebenga; his children, Linda Mulder (Brian), Ronald DeYoung Jr. (Sherri) and Robert DeYoung (AnnaMaria); his grandchildren, Kaleigh Herin (Thomas), Joshua DeYoung (Kelsey), Britney DeYoung, Katie DeYoung, Nicole DeYoung, Stacy Mulder and Tom Mulder; his great grandchild Kade Herin; and his siblings, Marvin DeYoung (Rose), Marguerite Ettema, Arlene VanderWoude and Alvin DeYoung (Marie).
