It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Blalock of Alanson, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 18, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Splinter and Margaret Splinter (Brown); her husband Robert Blalock; her sister Barbara; her nephew Joe; her aunt Dee; and her uncle Bill.
She is survived by: her children, Nadine Gibbs (Darrin), Ken Carter (Nancy) and Patrick Carter (Sarah); her grandchildren, Ginni, Nicholas, Jaimie-Lee, Devin, Stephen, Michael and Elizabeth; her brother Bob Splinter; her nieces, Brenda, Kathy (Les) and Marsha (Otto); her nephew Bill; and her cousins, Alice Newton (Lonnie) and Ruth McLeese (Dave). She is also survived by her 15 great-grandchildren.
Face masks are required inside the church by Mary's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to a local food pantry.
