It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew William Napthen of Afton, Michigan, born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, who passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 37, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Wally Napthen; and his grandparents, William, Beatrice Eckmeter, Walter and Lorraine Napthen.
He is survived by: his parents, Walter Charles Napthen III of Sterling Heights and Karen Eckmeter of Afton; his brother Stephen Napthen; his niece Laylah Napthen of Afton; his sister Karen Horvath of Warren; his aunt Debbie Eckmeter of Vermontville; and his uncles, Dennis Eckmeter (Gabriele) of Richmond, Bill Eckmeter of Lenox Township and Clint Eckmeter of Vermontville.
