It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Haines of Afton, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on February 16, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Cain and Blanche Cain; her siblings, Harold Cain and Lucille Mosher; and her children-in-law, Tom Kennedy, Rick Flotka and Nola Haines.

She is survived by: her husband George O. Haines; her children, Virginia Kitchen of Cheboygan, Charlene Derhammer of Cheboygan, Charles Haines of Afton, Cheryl Kennedy of Cheboygan, Karen Miller of Crystal, Carl Haines of Bronson, Mi, David Haines of Afton, Donna Gies of Afton and Paula Flotka of Carson City, Mi.; her siblings, Olga Gardner of Washington, Mi and Lloyd Cain of Holt Mi; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Mercer (Jane) of Candler, NC. She is also survived by many grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
