He was predeceased by: his parents, John James and Noreen Faye Martin (LaFortune); his son Michael Martin; and his brothers, Kenny, Jim "Bub" and Jack Martin.
He is survived by: his significant other Rae Lynn Johnson of Afton; his children, Robin Martin (Rick Schoolcraft) of Afton, Kelly Maupin (Al) of Wolverine, Melanie Bishop of North Carolina and Matthew Martin of Wolverine; his stepchildren, Danielle Hickok (Boyd) of Cheboygan and Mark Camero of Chesterfield; and his siblings, Florence Hilliker of Afton, Lois Dell of Petoskey, Dorie Martin of Petoskey, Donna Kurburski of Petoskey, Floyd Martin of Onaway, Ronnie Martin of Indian River and Jerry Martin of Wolverine.
Donations in memory of Carl can be given to his family to help with final expenses.
