He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Orlando and Juanita Gilbert (Davis); his siblings, Richard Gilbert and Bonnie Cox; and his wife Patricia Tonkery.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Gilbert of Royal Oak, MI, Tina Veitengruber (Kurt) of Rockford, MI and Edward Gilbert (Paulette) of Adrian; his grandchildren, Jonathan (Deidra), Mark, Kendra, Danielle, Paul (Rebecca), Kayela (Josh) and David (Natalie); and his great grandchildren, Annie, Gray, Hailee, Carson and Nolan.
