He is survived by: his mother Ruth Schadewald; his daughter Danielle Pate; his grandsons, Benson Winters and Dawson Winters; his sisters, Donna Briggs (Paul) and Sherry Pate; and his stepsiblings, Jeff Schadewald, Russell Schadewald, Sandra Kudlac, Sherri Hughes and Marilyn Burger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
