Frances Brumbaugh Kawahara Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Brumbaugh Kawahara of Adrian, Michigan, who passed away on January 31, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Henry and Olga Kathryn Brumbaugh (Shoemaker); her significant other Richard Howell; her son Lewis Marcus Kawahara; her sisters, Jane Brumbaugh Potter and Yvonne Brumbaugh Rust; and her stepsiblings, Pauline Noffsinger and Eugene Joliat.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Kawahara Howell (Roger Grayer); and her stepchildren, Debbie Sherman (Roger), Linda Martenez (Jose) and Thomas Richard Howell. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in honor of Frances be made to the Brumbaugh-Kawahara Scholarship (https://www.givecampus.com) through Adrian College, Alzheimer's Association, or American Cancer Society.
