She was predeceased by: her parents, Kelly Cole and Kathryn Cole (Fletcher); her husband William Franklin Atkinson; her children, Lora Atkinson and William "Billy"; and her granddaughter Cheyanne Denniss.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gloria Lozano (Ruben) of Adrian, MI, Alvia Wotring (Michael) of Adrian, MI and Kathy Denniss (Richard) of Tecumseh, MI; her siblings, Phyllis Mullins of Salyersville, KY and Burt Smith of Jackson, MI; her grandchildren, Derek Atkinson (Kim) of Onsted, MI, Michael Wotring Jr. of Adrian, MI, Nicholas Wotring of Adrian, MI, Justine Loughran-Davidson of Florida, Franklin Wotring (Alissa) of Raisin Township, MI, Daniel Crawford of Tecumseh, MI, Florian Noel (Nancy) of Killeen, TX, Billy Dickerson of Adrian, MI, Jessica Poley of Clinton, MI and Stephanie Poley of Adrian, MI; and her sister-in-law Betty Atkinson of Wurtland, KY. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Handler Funeral Home-Tecumseh Chapel (313 W Pottawatamie St, Tecumseh, MI 49286). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in honor of Elvie may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Lenawee.
