She was predeceased by: her sisters, Barbara and Greta. She is survived by: her son Duane John Covell (Birgit); and her grandchildren, Diana Creger (Scott), Christian Covel (Alexa), Nicole Covell, David Covell (Cassidy), Shawna Covell and Kody Covell.
She chose to donate her body to science and will have a private burial in Oakwood Cemetery at a later.
