He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Russell and Audrey Russell (Dearmyer); his wife Doris Irene Bell; his daughter Cheryl Rice; his great grandchild Caden Russell; and his siblings, Helen Todd, Donna Mae and Richard Russell.

He is survived by: his children, Angela Cramer (Donald) of Manitou Beach, Dorinda Damman (Dale) of Wauseon and Clenneth Russell (Dianna) of Hudson; and his siblings, Donald Russell (Jill) of Michigan Center and Edna Harrold (George) of Indiana. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren.
