Walter Rowen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2025, at the age of 91, Walter Rowen of Ada, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Walter Rowen to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aleksy Romanowicz and Olga Romanowicz (Mocka); his wife JoAnne Martus; his brother Alex; his sister-in-law Theresa Rowen; his sister Rose; his brother-in-law Chester Wozniak; and his brother Raymond Martus (Sally).
He is survived by: his children, René Savage (Daniel), Laura Rowen (Robert Morris), Karen Lewit (Jesse) and Gary Rowen (Kathy); his grandsons, Matthew Savage (Jackie), Michael Savage, Bradley Savage, Zachary Lewit and Adam Lewit; and his sister-in-law Marti Johnston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Pederson Funeral Home (127 N Monroe St, Rockford, MI 49341). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (4351 Parnell Ave NE, Ada, MI 49301). A burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick Cemetery (4351 Parnell Ave NE, Ada, MI 49301).
For those wishing to make a gesture in Walter's memory, the family requests that contributions to the Faith Hospice Circle of Faith Endowment Fund in Grand Rapids be considered in lieu of flowers.
