He was predeceased by: his father William Murphy; and his siblings, Katie and Bill. He is survived by: his wife Kristin Murphy; his children, Elizabeth Rich, Jason Horrigan (Carey) and Erin Essick (Eric); his siblings, Sharon, Arlene, Judy, Rita, Lynn and Neil; and his pets, Jimmy, Leo and Lucy. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mike's name for his love of animals may be made to the West Michigan Humane Society or Paws with a Cause.
