He was predeceased by: his parents, Klaas VanderWilp and Rena VanderWilp; his brother Rick; and his daughter Kristie. He is survived by: his wife Renee; and his children, Michael (Zeke), David (Tanya) and Jessica.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service (4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ada Bible Church (8899 Cascade Rd SE, Ada, MI 49301).
