He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lewis Shuster Sr. and Katherine Nichuals Shuster of Philadelphia, PA.; his parents-in-law, Wilbur and Madeleine Benner; and his daughter-in-law Stacy Hughes Shuster.

He is survived by: his mother-in-law Jane Victoria Benner; his wife Jane Benner Shuster; his children, David Shuster, Kathlyn Roest (Anthony), James Shuster (Marielle Estes) and William Shuster (Wendy Weidenfeller); his grandchildren, Katelyn, Breanna, Robert, Will, Joseph, Amanda, Madeline, Claudia, Dean and Luke; his siblings, Lynda Young (Mark) and Thomas Shuster (Martha); and his brother-in-law Wilbur Benner (Nora).
