He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Sala and Francis Ferro; his sister Antonina Sala (Annette); his wife Barbara Spring; his children, Salvatore Sala Jr. (Lauren Sala) of Kittery, ME. and Michelle Sala (Bella) of York, ME; and his close friend Anne Schofield. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

“Sal was an essential part of our extended family, helping to raise and guide my siblings and me through our teens and into adulthood. He always emphasized the importance of family, along with hard work and generosity. Often more uncle than cousin, and always a friend. It was always an event when the Salas would come to Florida, and he made it a point to let us know when and visit with us. He'll be missed. Love, Christopher and Sherri Ferro”
