She was predeceased by: her parents, Seth Benton and Clare Benton (Brennan); her husband James L. Gemmell; her daughter Anne Phillips; and her sister Clare Benton Morin.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Gemmell-Quemere (Andre), William Gemmell (Diane) and James Gemmell; her grandchildren, Christopher Gemmell, Jessica Maffetore, Matthew Gemmell, Allison Quemere, Andrew Quemere and Amy Phillips; her sister Marge Gaudreau; and also Thomas Phillips. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the York Food Pantry.
