It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara A. Gowen of York, Maine, born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 21, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father James H. Madden; and her brother James A. Madden. She is survived by: her husband Richard Gowen; her daughters, Heather Walsh (Devon) of Darien, CT and Hollie Wolverton (Brad) of Presque Isle, ME; and her grandchildren, Jack, Katie, Tommy and Chase.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's memory to York Public Library or your favorite animal shelter.

I knew Barb through many years of going to exercise/yoga classes in York and Kittery.
