Irma Hanington Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irma Hanington of Wytopitlock, Maine, born in Millinocket, Maine, who passed away on April 13, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Joseph and Marie Eddia LeBlond (Bernier); her husband Junior Hanington; and her siblings, Linda McCue, Geraldine St, Onge, Richard, Kenneth and Irvin LeBlond.
She is survived by: her former spouse Hollis A. Hanington Jr. (Junior); her daughter Sharon Hanington Sibley; her grandson Evan Hanington; her great grandchild Cayden Hanington; her children, Cheryl Hanington Russell (David), Scott (Laurie Hanington), Stephen (Teresa Hanington) and Sheldon (Jean Hanington); her granddaughter Michelle Russell Lang (Josh); her great grandchildren, Addilyn and Claire; her grandson Michael Hanington; her great grandchild Jaxsyn; her grandchildren, Alex Hanington and Casey Malone; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Lexi, Jamesyn and Danielle Hanington Libbey (Luke); her siblings, Patricia Cox, Theresa Card and Donald LeBlond (Julie); her close friend Joanne Cuipenski; and also, Abby, Evan, Dominic, Jillian, Marissa, Bennett, Eric Hanington (Krista), Abrianna, Emily, Maci, Jesse Hanington Page (Justin), Rachel, Eva, Mark Hanington (Susie), Cash, Elijah, Morgan, Sarah Hanington (Ben Fiske), Sean Sibley (Justin Lewin), Ethan Sibley, Butch Knights, Arikka (Aaron James), Adeline and Patrick. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Masks are required along with social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations in her memory be made to SHARE LIKE SHARON and mailed to: Sean Sibley 1235 Kirkland Road Old Town, ME 04468 These funds will be used to continue Irma's generosity in helping those less fortunate and providing educational opportunities.
