He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Delano and Gertrude Delano (Phinney); his siblings, Kenneth and Noreen-Lee; and his wife Linda Delano.

He is survived by: his son Daniel R. (Kym Delano) of Wiscasset; his grandchildren, Taylor Delano (Devin Fisk), Kalei, Karina, Karianne and Kennedy; his brother David Delano of Bowdoinham; and his close friend Ken Fowler of Edgecomb. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
