He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Murphy and Alice Murphy (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Jane Murphy; his children, Patrick H. D. Murphy of Boothbay Harbor and June M. Thompson of Brevard, NC; his grandson Patrick M. Murphy of Palmyra; and his nieces and nephews, Herbert Murphy of Boothbay Harbor, Michelle Zonneveld of Lacey, WA, Daniel Murphy of Edgecomb, Mark Murphy of Bristol and Caitlin Hamner of Martin, GA.. He is also survived by his family, friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bible Baptist Church (143 Beechnut Hill Rd, Wiscasset, ME 04578). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the Alna Cemetery.
