She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Sawyer. She is survived by: her children, David and Crystal; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Sawyer (Brenda) of Alna, Stephanie Cheney (Jesse) of Newcastle, Travis Estes (Monica) of Summerville, Stephanie Almasi (Dave) of Watertown, Sara Smith of Summerville, Jillian Sawyer of Bath, Bob Sawyer (Tabatha) of Richmond and Karilyn Casperson (Andy) of Charleston. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Donations in Betty's honor can be made to the Wiscasset Public Library or the Richmond Senior Center.
