He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur B. and Fern Hawes (Doe); and his brother William Hawes. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Hawes; his children, Arthur L. "Larry" Hawes (Rhonda) of Winthrop, Mitzi R. Brown of Chelsea and Anna Golden; his siblings, Glen Hawes of North Monmouth, Richard Hawes of Vassalboro and Joanne Jones of Vassalboro; his grandchildren, Rosanna Brown of Belgrade, Scott Brown Jr. of Chelsea, Curtis Hawes and Coty Hawes; and his great grandchild Blake Hussey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
