Nelson (Downes); his wife Rita Doyon of Winterport; his son Gordon Nelson (Patti) of Baton Rogue, LA.; his daughter-in-law Catharine Nelson of Canaan; his grandchildren, Gordon Nelson, Jr., Daniel Nelson, Emily Theriault, Joseph Nelson, Libby Bush, Keith Nelson and Patricia Gutierrez; his sisters, Chrisitina Marie and Elizabeth Nelson (Michael Nelson); his sister-in-law Irma Nelson; his son Ronald Nelson; and his siblings, Leroy Nelson and Vianna Higgins (Leon). He was also cherished by several great grandchildren.
