She is survived by: her husband Gerald Charest; her children, Kelly Dickinson of Scarborough, Karen Yeaton (Danny) of Windham and Kevin Charest (Debbi) of Gorham; her grandchildren, Matthew, Isabella, Samuel, Nicholas, Nathan and Alexander; her parents, Irma Mater and James Mater; and her siblings, Michael, James Mater, Barbara Douglas and Joseph Mater (Martha) of Scarborough.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
