He was predeceased by: his nephew Stephen Burton. He is survived by: his parents, Theron Arthur Merchant and Gwendolyn Maxine Merchant (Howard); his wife Claudette; his children, Timothy (Samantha) of Lebanon and Stephanie (Jeffrey) of Seattle; his grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren Merchant of Lebanon and Luke Couture of Seattle; and his sisters, Theone Reynolds (Michael) of Farmington, Pamela Peterson (Dennis) of The Villages and Darlene Lovejoy (Harold) of Pittsfield. He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
