He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Knight and Lorena Knight (Gerrish); and his siblings, Diana Grindle and William Knight. He is survived by: his wife Nanone Knight; his children, Lisa Maguire (Mark), Lori Ibarguen (Craig) and Mark Ward (Anita); his grandchildren, Casey, Kelly, Anthony, Sophia, Jake, Brandon, Hunter, Brett and Brian; his great grandchild Malcolm; his nephew John Grindle (Edie); and his uncle Donald Knight.
