Marilyn A. Bernier Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn A. Bernier of Westbrook, Maine, born in Portland, Maine, who passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Johnson and Virginia Johnson (Kane); her husband Roger F. Bernier; and her sister Nancy Thorvaldsen of Norway, Europe.. She is survived by: her children, AnneMarie Doane (Ed) of Poland, Michael Bernier (Kate) of Newton, MA, Susan Burgess of Standish, Paul Bernier and Janine Bodnar (Robert) of Saco; and her siblings, Robert Johnson (Ethel) of Florida and Karen Giroux (Arthur) of Portland. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Marilyn asked that you consider a donation to St. Jude Childrens Hospitals (Stjude.org) or to the Maine Alzheimer's Association (Alz.org).
