It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katie Babicz of Westbrook, Maine, born in Portland, Maine, who passed away on March 21, 2021, at the age of 39, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Theresa A. Mazziotti (Dempsey); and her grandparents, Bill, Irma Dempsey, Jack and Francine Lavigne.

She is survived by: her father Daryl G. Lavigne (Paula); her son William Babicz; her sister Kolbie Lavigne; her aunts and uncles, Joe, Donna Gilbert, Larry, Shirley Dempsey, David and Jane Lavigne; her stepsons, Josh, Anthony and Justin Babicz; and her stepparents, Theresa Lavigne and Joe Mazziotti.

Katie continued her generosity with her final gift of organ donation.
