He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Duarte Sr. and Dorothy Hellman Duarte. He is survived by: his wife Karen Bailey Duarte; his children, Jessica Nwajei (Henry), Jonathan Duarte (Andrea) and Melanie Duarte (Andrew Berry); his grandchildren, Christopher, John, Justin Willette, Adam, Ryan Duarte, Madeline and Frances Berry; his sisters, Michele Ingalls and Katherine Duarte; his niece Bethany Allen; and his nephew Christopher Ingalls.
