He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Frederick and Emily Sargent Peterson; his siblings, Carl Frederick, Jr. and Ellen Casale; and his half-siblings, Frank Sargent, Madeline Shaw and Adele.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Yates Peterson; his stepson David C. Peterson (Beata); his children, Bruce M. Peterson (Lourdes), Julie Foster and Lisa Peterson (Steve Kozlovich); his grandchildren, Bruce E. Peterson (Kim), David R. Peterson (Tracie), Lucas Peterson (Tandra), Nicholas Dimastrantonio, Ryan Dimastrantonio, Chad Peterson and Holly Peterson Dodge (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Braydon, Reece, Araia, Elliot, Emmy, Brielle, Trystan and Sydan.
