She is survived by: her stepmother June Semple; her husband Gordon Higgins; her children, Brian Higgins and Kimberly Whitten (Michael); her sister Judith Waterhouse (Steven); her niece Holly Fortier (Mark); her great-niece Kathryn; and her great-nephew Mathew.
Interment will follow at St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Stroudwater Street, Westbrook. in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Greater Portland Animal Refuge League 217 Landing Rd., Westbrook, 04092.
