He is survived by: his son Arthur McDermott of Portland; and his grandchildren, Maggie Parrish of Santa Fe, NM, Reed McDermott, Jordan McDermott, Molly McDermott, Ruth McDermott, Olivia McDermott and Elizabeth McDermott.
