With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Althea Mildred Axelsen of Westbrook, Maine, born in Limington, Maine, who passed away on December 3, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everette Gammon and Blanch Mildred Gammon; her husband John Axelsen, Sr.; her sons, John Axelsen, Jr. and Dennis Axelsen; her daughter-in-law Mary Axelsen; and her granddaughter Jennifer Peters.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald Axelsen, Sr. of Standish, Wayne Axelsen (Jean) of St. Petersburg, Florida and Sally St. Pierre (Jeff) of Westbrook; her daughter-in-law Janice Cairnes Axelsen of Gorham; her brother Malcolm "Bud" Gammon (Annette) of Windham; and her sisters-in-law, Dottie Gammon of Edgewater and Lucile Gammon of Buxton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great- great grandson.
