He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leonidas Rice and Leila Vickery Rice; his former wife Betty Turner Rice; and his siblings, Sara Maxwell of Elberton and Lon Rice of Athens.
He is survived by: his family Robert H. Rice; his wife Linda Forrestal Rice of Wells; his sons, Robert H. Rice, Jr. (Nancy) of Cedartown, Richard C. Rice (Donna) of Marietta and Vickery C. Rice (Diane) of Woodstock; and his brother Gene Rice of Elberton. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one great-grandson and fifteen step-grandchildren.
