It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nancy Ruth Whittemore of Wells, Maine, born in Concord, New Hampshire, who passed away on August 14, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Tonkin and Hazel Tonkin (Perrin); her brother Albert "Skip"; and her sister-in-law Carol Tonkin. She is survived by: her husband Jim Whittemore of Wells; her daughters, Susan Whittemore of Wells and Diane Ackerman (Woody) of Wells; her grandsons, James Ackerman and Alexander Ackerman; and her children, Michele Masi of Franklin, MA, Kim Palmer of North Attleboro, MA and Rick Slavin of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
