With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn Darling of Wells, Maine, born in Waterboro, Maine, who passed away on September 25, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard W. Chadbourne and Marjorie Chadbourne Hay (Wilson); her husband Russell; and her sister Janice Gregory. She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca R. Darling; her son-in-law Brad Manter of Scarborough; her son Timothy J. Darling; her daughter-in-law Karen of Wells; her grandchildren, Chris Palm (Jenny) of Narragansett, RI, Luke Darling (Caroline) of Kennebunk, Doug Darling (Kirsten Coffee) of Wells and Emily Manter of Portland; her great grandchildren, Calder, Cameron Palm, Samantha and Kaitlyn Darling; her stepsiblings, Sally Hay (Deirdre Bird) of Lincoln, RI and Jack Hay (Jenni Ashford) of Longmont, CO; and her siblings-in-law, Rita Coulton of Wells, Glenis Moody of Wells, Crystal Brown of Wells, Merna Burden of San Diego, CA, John Anson Darling, Jr. (Karen) of Wells, Keith Darling (Donna) of Cambridge, ID and Vernon Darling (Donna) of Peoria, IL..
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bibber Memorial Chapel - Wells (111 Chapel Rd, Wells, ME 04090). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Congregational Church of Wells (1695 Post Rd, Wells, ME 04090).
In lieu of flowers, Marilyn's family suggests that you help a neighbor in need or make a contribution to the Wells Congregational Church, PO Box 759, Wells, ME 04090 in her name.
