He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hoyt and Shirley Hoyt (Grimes); his wife Diane L. Poulin; and his siblings, Cindy Lee Swift, Marjorie Barrieault, Ralph Hoyt and Sally LaBreck.
He is survived by: his daughter Heather J. Cavanagh (Paul); his sister Mary Lou Tower (Ken); his nieces and nephews, Jamie Dixon, Melissa Weiner and Tera Pare; his sister Sue Ellen Cote (Andy); his nephew Michael Cote; his niece Stephanie Guild; his brother Haliburton Hoyt; his grandsons, Travis Cavanagh, Adam Cavanagh (Kate) and Daniel Cavanagh; his great grandchildren, Riley and Shayna; and his godchildren, Jamie Dixon and Nicole Swift. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
