He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Edward Sanborn and Alice Sanborn (Wilson); his wife Susan Sanborn; his siblings, Donald Sanborn, Herbert Sanborn, Maynard Sanborn, Floyd Sanborn, Carry Carter and Margaret McIntyre; and his stepdaughter Sheryl Harvey.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Sanborn (Melody) of Waldoboro, Paula Sanborn of Bethel and Melissa Chartier of Waldoboro; his sister Dorothy; his stepson Gary Mank of Panama City, FL; and his grandchildren, Remington Sanborn of Woodstock, ME, Josh Golden of Waldoboro, Donald E. Simmons of Bethel, Joshua W. Simmons of Hope, Chianne Simmons of Colorado, Doreen Goding of Rumford, Heather Garland of Peru and Susan Fagan of Colorado. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.
