She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert William and Velma Rose Dennison Hastings; her brother William Ernest; and her sister-in-law Kathy Packard-Hastings. She is survived by: her husband Lewis Wayne Merrifield of South Hope; her children, Mary Ann Giasson (Alan) of Rockland and Mark A. Merrifield (Michelle Belanger Merrifield) of Union; her close friend Teresa Tooley of Camden; her grandchildren, Hilary Ann Merrifield, Eben Tooley Merrifield of Camden and Aidan Merie Giasson of Rockland; and her siblings, Austin F. Hastings of Millinocket, Paul A. Hastings of Waldoboro and Beatrice R. Norwood. She is also survived by several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
