He was predeceased by: his siblings, Theresa, Edna, Ruth and William. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Deborah Porter (Tim) of Washington, ME, Edward Mayer (Lori) and William Mayer of Liberty, ME.; his grandchildren, Danielle Mayer (Silas Walsh) of Waldo, ME, Michael Mayer (Britney) of Thorndike, ME, William Mayer of Liberty, ME, Jason Porter (Crystal) of Palermo, ME and Clarence Porter (Shelby) of Farmingdale, ME.; and his great grandchildren, Lucena-Ann Porter and Lincoln Mayer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations at the family's request can be made to "Joy to Be Bald" (a local cancer charity).
