With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglass Knowlton (Waldoboro, Maine), born in Rockland, Maine, who passed away on March 27, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Bessie and Alfred Church; his parent Clara Church Lane; his uncle Malcolm Church; his aunts, Evelyn Church and Marion Church; his sister Sandra Simmons; and his brother-in-law Maynard Simmons.
He is survived by: his friend Thanksgiving; his wife Elaine Knowlton of Waldoboro; his children, Scott Knowlton (Amy) of Dixfield and Michelle Knowlton (Dale Griffin) of Waldoboro; and his siblings, Barbara Morse (Amon) of Northport, Ruth Prior (Verge) of Medomak, Nancy Smith (Alan) of Waldoboro, Christine Bain, Karen Simmons (Keith) of Friendship, Valerie Wallace (Rick) of Union, Alfred Knowlton (Karen) of Brunswick, GA and Malcolm Knowlton (Anita) of Thomaston. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
